Conservation Licenses (hunting and fishing)

Fishing License

  • New York State Driver's License to prove residency.

Hunting License

  • New York State Driver's License to prove residency
  • Certificate showing completion of Hunter Safety Training Course or
  • Previous hunting license

Bowhunting License

  • Same as for Hunting License and
  • Certificate showing completion of Bowhunter Safety Training Course or
  • Previous bowhunting license
  • Trapping License
  • New York State Driver's License to prove residency and Certificate showing completion of Trapping Education Course or previous trapping license

Non-Resident Licenses

Non-residents pay a higher fee for licenses. For a hunting or bowhunting license proof of a previous hunting and/or bowhunting license or Certificate showing completion of a hunting or bowhunting safety training course are required.
